Man’s Greatest Achievement…

This is a wonderful topic to consider.  It has so many different directions, but which one is true?  Is this one single event, a series of them, a discovery, how many did it involve?  This is a range for the ages and each should be free to offer and decide for themselves what it is, I wish simply to pose an idea.

Man’s greatest achievement is not something that is always visible, it has no certain place in time or space and not everyman is involved, though each has their choice in this matter.  Man’s achievement is discovery, but not in the manner of science or religion with proof and revelations.  It is not certain to benefit all men, but yet it does.

The essence of Man’s greatest achievement is what leads to the physical tangible achievements that that stand all around us.  It causes man to look deep within and find the drive to reach for these things, ranging from Einstein’s theories to those of Newton, to the Wright Brothers command of flight and lift, even to each individuals choices.  This achievement leads men through their lives and those that do achieve it lay claim to their dreams.  They find their dreams possible in their waking moments or else they create them.

This Achievement is impossible to attain if you are busy becoming someone else, or finding your image as society defines it.  Society restricts us from gaining this goal, telling us that is we gain it, we are not worth it.  We must conform to what they want us to be which is an idolized version that is trained by them and for them.  I am not saying that we should all be social deviants, far from it.  You can be yourself without allowing society to dictate what you must be.

For example, you do not have to have a cell phone because so-and-so has one, but because of the convenience it offers.  This statement is one that I personally have forgotten recently and attempted to force my own society on someone else.  This was unfair and I thank them for their kindness towards me and for reminding me of this cause to which each human strains, whether they know it or not.

So for all of this, what is Man’s Greatest Achievement?  That is your own opinion, but I offer my own idea as just that, an opinion.  Man’s Greatest Achievement is
