Doctor Who…

Ok, so for those who are unaware, there is this massive cult following of a show called Doctor Who. In simple terms, it is sci-fi…in very very simple terms. I have recently become engrossed in this show (thanks Tawny) and as such, wanted to share some wisdom that I have discovered.

1) As the Doctor’s companions discover, time in a linear way is fleeting…don’t let it pass you by. While they are all left by the doctor in some way, shape, or form, they would all elect to take the journey again. They get to see amazing things. And who knows, if you elect not to let time pass you by, you might see AND DO some incredible things.

2) As human beings learn throughout the show, we are not alone. What I mean by that is not exactly like the show has. I’m not telling you there are aliens or that there aren’t. But human’s there must accept that there are other people and stories out there. Likewise there are billions of people in this world, all with different stories and different pasts. It is foolish to think that you can overlook someone else for any reason.

3) As the doctor demonstrates time and time again, you can be wonderful and terrible all at the same time. The protagonist of the series, the doctor is the hero…but he is also very dark. He is a bright, bubbly, wonderful guy and at the same time has the potential to destroy entire races. As human’s, we too have to remember this. We can be all this at once. Breaking the world down into black and white is ridiculous.

I don’t know, I’m only a few seasons into the new show, but I wanted to share them. šŸ™‚
