A New Perspective

I was recently placed in charge of launching and developing content for our new Fraternity and Sorority Life Blog. It has been a rather interesting experience for me personally for a few different reasons. On of the joys of writing your own blog is that it is really up to you to develop and create content. If you don’t like something, get rid of it. By comparison, developing a blog where you aren’t expected to create content, but to manage it creates an entirely different beast. I am now at the will of my writers to get me their work in time to post (some have a hard deadline, some pieces are more as we get them). It is a very unique perspective. But it has also been a great experience. We had over 300 views on our first day with a soft launch (we only published it on Twitter) and are still not fully live on our other sites. Still, it is active and exciting to see things like that come together. I’ve had the chance to see some really cool pieces come from these students and it is awesome to see them find another outlet to express their passions.

Really, I just wanted to praise and recognize my students and ask you to take a few minutes to check out their work.
